Monster Burgers

By Lisa Keefauver

Here is a fun October lunch or dinner time meal for your family that will get the whole family talking (or laughing) about it!

Monster Burgers

INGREDIENTS
8 all white turkey burgers
8 buns
8 slices of your favorite cheese
8 slices of ham
16 slices of pickle
Ketchup

1) Grill or broil burger to perfection

2) Place burger on bottom half of the bun

3) Use a table knife to cut the cheese slice in half using a zig-zag pattern like teeth. Put half of the cheese on the patty, hanging over the bun so it looks like teeth are hang off one side.

4) Take one slice of ham and fold it over in a tongue pattern. Put the ham on top of the "teeth". Top the ham with the other slice of zig-zagged cheese. Top with the half of the bun.

5) Put 2 pickle slices on top of the bun as eyes. Dot the "eyes" with ketchup.

Mid-Night Kickball

Do you remember late Summer nights as a kid when you would play outside into the dark of night?  I am a Cali girl who grew up playing endless hours of hide-n-seek, kickball, 4 square and any other game we could come up with to stay outdoors late into the night.

Happy Home fairy brought back these great memories with her idea of arranging a surprise  game of Mid-night kickball with your kids.  What a fun idea to arrange a family mid-night kickball game with other families and create memories with your kids they will never forget. I knew there was a reason I bought a new red kick ball this Summer.

You could also included late night Mc Donald's run or have pizza delivered to the Kickball game.

Add this to your summer bucket list of fun idea to check off doing this summer with your kids.

By: Tisha Novotny

I don’t know why, but all of my children have enjoyed the adventure of hosting garage sales during the summer. Maybe it is the fun of pretending they have a store or the idea that they are making extra money. I, on the other hand, look at hosting garage sales as a lot of work. But over the years I have learned a few successful garage sale tips and tricks.
