That is great! My first fort was couch cushions and a bed sheet draped over the TV. A private Nintendo studio of sorts.
A suggestion from a professional fort-builder: Color code the joints with different colors of spray paint to make assembly a snap for tykes of all ages.
Here's a pic on my Facebook page of a massive geodesic dome I built with a 50' diameter (almost 2000sqft floor area). The idea started with a structure just like yours.
