Let's Make a Meal Monday's - Crock Pot Recipes
Last week while I was standing with a group of moms watching our 6-year-old boys practice soccer, we began a the typical mom discussion with one another - What to cook for dinner on the nights we are on the go and NOT home to cook. The simple answer was to use our Crock-Pots. This, of course, brought on the next question, “What Crock-Pot meals have you made that your family will eat?”
This conversation of swapping ideas inspired one of the moms who decided to send out an email to a larger group of moms, asking that we share our favorite Crock-Pot recipes. The results have been amazing! So, I asked their permission to begin sharing some of these family-pleasing Crock-Pot meals with the 24/7 MOMS.
This week I’ll share two of them in hopes that they will help you when you are on the go and in need of some family-pleasing meals.

Recipe #1
Kristin’s Spaghetti Sauce in the Crock-Pot
2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 - 32 oz. canned diced tomatoes
4.5 oz. packages of spaghetti sauce mix, such as Lawry's
1/4 cup cheap wine or cooking wine
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp sage
1/8 tsp ground pepper
salt to taste
Brown the beef with the onion. Drain grease. Place all ingredients in the pot. Let cook all day. Yum! Yum! You'll have leftovers, and it freezes very well. Some say it is even better the next day! Enjoy!
