CRACKLING BABY BOOKS TO TAKE EVERYWHERE

How to encourage a love of reading? Experts recommend soft cloth books to help babies learn to touch, feel and turn pages themselves. Babies and toddlers enjoy looking at pictures of other babies and of animals – thus four new CRINKLE ANIMAL books by Guido van Genechten (published by Clavis Books; available wherever books are sold). Crinkly -- they make a crackling noise when touched and squeezed! -- wordless pages featuring soft, pastel illustrations engage toddlers in these portable, hand washable cloth books. Children will have fun naming the animals -- elephants, alligators, ladybugs, rabbits, goats, fish, penguins and more -- from the FARM, GARDEN, GARDEN and WATER.

Author-illustrator Guido van Genechten is an illustrator and the author of several bestselling children's books, including (NO) GHOST UNDER MY BED, the RICKY series, GUIDO’S GREAT COLOURING AND DRAWING BOOK, the LOOK AT THAT! series and more. He is the winner of the Reader's Digest Award for Best Children's Books Illustrator and the Picture Book of the Year in Holland.
