I've done this for a couple of years, but I didn't score it or use ice water or start with the boiling water (I would boil the water with the potatoes in it.) But yup, it works! Thanks for the tip!!!

Okay, that's neat. BUT, wouldn't it just be faster to peel the silly things?!? LOL
