Week In A Day With Rachael Ray

How do we get dinner on the table when Busy, Crazy, Zero time, running from one activity to the next, all seem to be the normal life of families these days?

Last Friday I was given the opportunity to chat with Rachael Ray on the phone with a few other moms about her new show Rachael Ray's Week in a Day - her new show that just began airing on the cooking channel which is devoted to giving time-stretched families the tools to prepare five delicious, homemade meals in one day, Week in a Day is filled with Rachael’s unique take on simple recipes and time-saving techniques.

During our phone conversation she shared with us how her weekly show will include 5 recipes we as moms can make all in one day ready to be re-heated on the stove or in the oven and placed on the dinner table in minutes each night. These recipes are designed each week with a variety of flavors yet use similar base ingredients to simplify our shopping lists and save money.

Each show she changes it up a bit by using super easy recipes one week to going more gourmet on another week appealing to each of our cooking styles.

Join Rachael each Each Saturday from 3pm ET/12pm PT.

“Cooking Channel is all about celebrating fresh new ways to be creative in the kitchen and discovering new food experiences,” said Ray. “I’m truly inspired by the network, and think I’ve cooked up one of my freshest ideas ever with Week in a Day.”

“Rachael’s warmth, energy and culinary enthusiasm have made her a household name – she changed the way America cooks with 30-Minute Meals, and she will certainly do so again with Week in a Day,” said Bruce Seidel, Senior Vice President, Programming, Cooking Channel. “Using her recipes, strategies and tips, viewers will be able to eat well every night, with ease.”

In upcoming episodes, Rachael explores eclectic comfort food dishes including Crab Cake Mac ‘N Cheese, Moroccan Meatloaf and Louisiana Style Shrimp. She also tackles meal strategies for the holiday season, including no-fuss Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts.

I watched one episode they showed on Food Network. Unfortunately it's too expensive to get the Cooking Channel, :(. I hope some day they sell the show DVDs.
