Reflection and Application

Romans 12:2 in the Message states,
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
So I am - Taking my everyday, ordinary life and placing it as an offering to Him. My heart is to encourage moms to live with an authentic faith by being transparent, renewed, and transformed. When I say authentic I mean removing the mask that we use to cover up how we really feel, how we really care and how we really are..
The only way that we can learn how to complete this task in the adventure of life as women and as moms is to reflect and apply the bible to our everyday lives. The stories of the Bible are endless treasures that can be used all the time. The bible even tho written many many years ago can fill us with the wisdom that we need today.
Sure the women did not have to punish there children for cell phones & i-pods at the table, complain about their husbands watching too much television and trying to keep up their homes and closets with the latest fashions and styles. However they did love their children, wished them happiness and did all they could for them. Eve dealt with sibling rivalry just as we do but she even had to do the unimaginable thing and bury one of her children because this relationship between brothers got out of control. So through them we can dig deep into their lives and we can find courage, hope & joy just as God intended us to.
Open your heart and mind to the words of the Bible. Allow God to work in your life so you can become the woman, the wife, and the mom He created you to be.
Blessings & Giggles to you & yours,

Jeanie thanks for the reminder to daily turn our day's agenda over to the Lord and have Him work in us right where we are at!
