Jo-Ann Store free Make It-Take - May 8th
She does the laundry and packs the lunches. She fixes boo-boos and cheers at soccer games. She even does the dishes and helps with homework -- at the same time. She's mom and she deserves the best. And Jo-Ann will help kids give her the best on Mother's Day.
"With today's busy schedules, it takes a lot of creative planning to be a mom," said Courtney Talkington, manager of education and inspiration, and a mother (of three) herself. "Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores put equally creative planning into the development of special handmade projects that will show Mom how much she is loved and appreciated this Mother's Day."
Jo-Ann will host a free Make It-Take It event in every store across the country on Saturday, May 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to make two projects -- a "hand" made flower bouquet and a fingerprint card. This marks the first time the event has been held in every Jo-Ann store. To find the location nearest you, log onto Joann.com.
While the kids are crafting their masterpieces for mom, dads can stroll the store to find many great gifts. From sewing machines and scrapbooking albums to picture frames, yarn and gift cards, there are endless options that mom is sure to enjoy.
"These fun and easy projects will give kids an opportunity to express themselves creatively," said Talkington. "And, in turn they'll leave the store with something crafted by heart that mom will cherish forever."
