Help World Vision provide emergency relief to Haiti

The 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12 has produced utter devastation in and around the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Help World Vision provide emergency relief to survivors, like food, clean water, shelter, and more.

The strongest earthquake in more than 240 years struck the Western Hemisphere’s most impoverished country shortly before 5 p.m. Haiti time on Tuesday, January 12. The magnitude 7.0 quake struck 10 miles southwest of Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, destroying buildings and spreading panic amo...ng the city’s estimated 2-3 million people. World Vision, which opened an office in the island country in 1978, has some 370 staff on the ground who have begun an immediate response. Widespread damage – including destruction of roads, hospitals, schools, government buildings, and United Nations headquarters – are making relief efforts extraordinarily difficult.

World Vision is on the ground in Haiti, assessing damage and ready to respond. Please pray and help World Vision respond with emergency supplies by giving to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund: http://bit.ly/HaitiRelief
