14 Ways To Use A Meyer Lemon


Meyer lemons are not your typical sour lemon, they have an edible peel and a sweeter flavor. They are perfect for desserts, using in your meal recipes or making simple sweet Meyer lemonade. Here are 14 Uses for a Meyer Lemon

Squeeze lemons to make Meyer lemonade


Add grated Meyer lemons to your favorite shortbread recipe


Bake a Meyer lemon pound cake topped with Meyer lemon ice cream


Make a vinaigrette with olive oil and Meyer lemon juice .


Add Meyer Lemon zest to pasta salad or fresh salads.


Grate Meyer lemon zest over a creamy pasta dish such as Fettuccine Alfredo.


Squeeze Meyer lemon juice over fish after it is cooked to bring out the flavor.


Make a Lemon Meyer meringue pie


Make Meyer Lemon muffins ( recipe here)


Marinate chicken or pork with 1/2 cup Meyer Lemon juice, 3 tablespoons honey, a bit of olive oil, one chopped clove of garlic and 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs, parsley, thyme, rosemary or oregano.

Thanks for these tips. I love lemons and use several of your tips already. I'm going to try the one to brighten old linens. I have to find Meyer lemons and try them. Going to enter your giveaway for them. :-)
I love to add fresh squeezed lemon juice and some grated lemon rind to my homemade cheesecake that I make with Philadephia cream cheese. Everyone loves the lemony taste!

We have a Meyer Lemon tree in our back yard. I use the lemons a lot. The tree is huge and we get so many lemons off it we end up giving away a whole bunch of them. I love making lemonade and pies with them. I love all these ideas for other things to do with them, especially using them in a bath. Thanks for the great ideas! Now I have many more uses for all our lemons.
