Here's another vinegar tip: if you live in an area with fire ants, keep white vinegar on hand. If you get stung, pour some vinegar on a rag or paper towel and hold it to the bites. It'll keep them from swelling up and itching as much. This even helped my husband, who has allergy troubles and tends to swell up really bad after a fire ant bite.
