Day 3 - Silverwood Theme Park Stop on the Twizzlers Landmark Road Trip

Hungry and ready for a day of adventure meant our first Twizzlers Landmark Summer roadtrip stop was breakfast Novotny style which meant it had to be at a local yet famous place.  So, Jimmy's down the street it was.  What Makes Jimmy's so famous?  Have you heard of the TV show Diners, Drive-In's and Dives?  Guy Fieri host this foodie show as he visits local eating places across the country and Jimmy's was one of his recent stops - after our meal we couldn't agree more with Guy's review and the delicious food served.The place was buzzing with both locals and first time visitors eating, chatting and enjoying not only large portions of food but great conversation. It had the feel of a Breakfast version of Cheers.  A must stop if you visit  Coeur d' alene, Idaho.

After eating over sized cinnamon rolls and huge portions of pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast it was off to Silverwood Theme Park known for its big rides big slides and big fun. Our experience was A+ we loved the hometown feel of a slower paced amusement park and  the reasonable priced food - you should have seen the size of the single scoop Ice cream cones huge and a bargain priced afternoon snack.  Silverwood has rides for all ages and thrill seekers- My husband decided to risk his life on the Aftershock, no other family member was willing to risk their lives with him so off he went as we found the perfect viewing seats to observe him as he conquered the 191 foot in the air, 65 miles per hour roller coaster. We could hear him scream as the ride soared through the air.  His after ride response was " I have been on lots of great roller coaster but none as great as this one - the speed the twisting, turning and loops are incredible". If you are a thrill seeker Then Silverwood needs to be on your list of must visit.

The afternoon was spent watching the fabulous Nick Norton present Mysterium a fun illusion show then a ride on the Silverwood historic engine No. 7 train that included a train robbery - I call this a train ride show- Fun and exciting.  We ended our day with time at Boulder Beach which is Silverwoods water park a theme park inside a theme park filled with water slides, a lazy river and children's water park. Silverwood is truly a place where the fun never ends until it's time to leave and head off to dinner.

Hot Rod cafe in Post Falls was our next stop for dinner and fun.  The food portions were huge the kids meals included game tokens for their arcade area and a trip to the ice cream truck to choose a treat. Another must visit restaurant when visiting the Coeur d' alene, Idaho area.

Day 3 was definitely full of must visits and highly recommend to families visiting the Coeur d' alene, Idaho area
