Here is my familys favorite recipe that we love to bake for a christmas treat:
ReplyDeleteHoliday PB Cookies
3-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup(1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cupcreamy peanut butter
3/4 cuppacked brown sugar
3/4 cupgranulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cupred and green M&M's
1/2 cuppeanuts, chopped
Directions
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Blend flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
2. Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl until creamy. Beat in sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla.
3. On low speed, beat flour mixture into butter mixture. Stir in 1/4 cup warm water. Fold in M&M's and nuts.
4. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with your hand to form a 2-inch round.
5. Bake at 375°F for 11 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack.

ReplyDeleteI begged my co-worker for the recipe for her brownies and she surprised me by telling me they were box brownies! Here's the secret: 1 box Ghirardelli brownie mix, 3 Symphony chocolate bars. Put 1/2 of the brownie mix in 8x8 pan, lay the chocolate bars across and then top with the remaining half of the brownie batter. Bake according to the directions. Best brownies ever!
