Survival Kits For Back To School

A fun way to kick off the School year is with a simple survival kit. Executive Homemaker has two simple ones to create and even has free printable tags to make it a super simple project even this mommy Stewart can create.

First you will need a bag to place all the items in and this one was super super simple to create.

Survival BAG

Materials Needed:

1 kraft brown bag with handles per child
School Name plates ( I found an entire package for $1.00 in Targets dollar spot section)
Two sided tape or glue stick
Sharpie pen

Instructions
Take the name plate and cut off the top and bottom so you now have three strips. Top , middle ( Place to wrote name ) , bottom.

Write child's name on middle section with sharpie pen

Glue or tape the three section onto the front of the kraft brown bag.

Now it is time to fill your bags with survival items from one of these two Executive Homemaker Back To School survival kits.

Put together a Back to School Survival Kit for your child with these candy grams! I was so inspired by Kristi’s back to school survival kit, that I thought I’d make one of my own.

Attach the above cards to its corresponding item and place them in a gift bag or other type of container. (It can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish.)

Don’t forget to include an inspirational letter! This is just a reminder of your love and support as your child goes back to school.

You can also include other special items like snacks, a new book to read after school, small trinkets, and notes from other family members, etc.

Labels in the Survival Kit:

Fruit by the foot – Put your best foot forward
Pencils – We think you are sharp!
A lollipop – To remind you to stick to the scriptures to help you “lick” any obstacles this year.
Eraser – To remind you you can start each new day with a clean slate.
Rubber band – Stretch your mind this year.
Paper clips – You have all the tools to hold it together!
Hershey Hugs – Just some extra hugs when you need them.
Smarties – To boost your smart brain power.
Tootsie Roll – to remind you to roll with the punches this year.
Sponge – to remind you to soak it all in this year.
Almond Joy candy bar – We hope this year brings you great joy.
