How To Make Edible Crayons

Edible Crayons make a fun end of the school year treat.

Ingredients:
1 Bag pretzel rods
1 Bag candy melts ( any color) Wilton makes these.
Crayon Wrappers ( download free ones below)
Wax paper



Directions:
1. Cut Pretzel rods into 3" pieces ( use serrated knife)
2. Place 1/4 to 1/2 of candy melts into microwaveable bowl.
3. Melt bowl of candy melts in Microwave - Stirring every 30 seconds until melted
4. Dip each end of pretzel rod into melted candy melt.
5. Place on wax paper to dry.
6. Wrap dipped pretzel rod with crayon wrapper once completely dry

Oh my goodness this is really clever.
I cannot wait to share this with my five grandchildren ages 10 - 2!

I really appreciate you posting this as I am not creative this way and am looking for some fun stuff to do with my cuties this summer.

I cannot tell you how much I want to make these...nor how I am lamenting the fact that I lack all the supplies down here in NZ! We have no pretzel rods OR candy melts. I can't even think of any equivalents! Drat!
