Create Timeless Treasures:
*Record your children greeting their Dad (or Grandpa) on a CD. Interview them as to their favorite things about their Dad. Include them singing songs or reciting stories they’ve written. Ask your children to share a memory of time spent with him.
*Make a CD of Dad’s favorite songs – or, take him back in time with free, downloadable recordings of classic radio programs. http://www.oldtimeradiofans.com/
Detective stories, westerns, comedies and “antique” commercials are available.
*Send Dad a Letter: Everyone loves to get mail. Surprise dad with handwritten, handmade mail sent to him in the days leading up to Father’s Day. Once the holiday has passed, place the mail in a scrapbook, with pictures from your celebration of Dad.
*Write a Book: Inexpensive blank journals or gift books can be transformed into a collection of your children’s art and Father’s Day greetings. Complete the book with your thoughts, in the form of a love letter or written memories.
