Free Kids Workshop At Home Depot

Deal OF The Day - Free kids workshop at Home Depot. April 3, 2010 the project is building a Butterfly house. Click here for more details.

BUILD - LEARN - CREATE

Home Depot offers FREE Kids Workshops which are FREE " How To Workshops'" designed for children ages 5-12. The hands-on sessions are offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9:00am and noon at all Home Depot Stores.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

The Gig Harbor Home Depot actually does their Kid's Workshop every Saturday morning from 8-9am...And if the kids have already made that particular project, we usually have a stash of leftovers from previous months that they can do. Steve, the guy that runs the workshop, is absolutely great with the kids, and so helpful and patient. Also, the kids don't have to be 5 to attend either- we have kids as young as 3 doing the projects, as long as they have an adult with them that can help them.

Wow, if that wasn't a plug, I don't know what is (can you tell I work there?)
