7 Creative Pancake Recipes

Bisquick Pancakes
My personal all time favorite

Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 20 min
Makes: 12 pancakes

Ingredients
2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Directions:
1.Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat or electric griddle to 375°F; grease with cooking spray, vegetable oil or shortening. (Surface is ready when a few drops of water sprinkled on it dance and disappear.)
2.Stir all ingredients until blended. Pour by slightly less than 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle.
3.Cook until edges are dry. Turn; cook until golden

Note: If you like thin pancakes, use 1 1/2 cups milk.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft) No changes.


Pancake Banana Splits

Prep Time: 25 min
Total Time: 25 min
Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients
1package (16.4-oz) frozen microwave pancakes or buttermilk microwave pancakes (12 pancakes)
3bananas
1cup Yoplait® Lowfat creamy strawberry yogurt (from 2-lb container)
1cup Yoplait® Lowfat vanilla yogurt (from 2-lb container)
1can (8 oz) crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice, drained
1/2cup fresh blueberries
2tablespoons granola

Directions
1.MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Remove plastic wrap from 2 stacks of pancakes; place on microwave-safe plate. Microwave on High for 2 minutes 15 seconds to 2 minutes 45 seconds or until pancakes are hot and no firm spots remain. DO NOT OVERHEAT. Repeat with remaining 2 stacks.
2.Cut each banana in half lengthwise and crosswise, making 4 pieces each.
3.To serve, place 2 pancakes on each serving plate. Top each with 2 banana pieces, 1/6 each of strawberry yogurt, vanilla yogurt, pineapple and blueberries. Sprinkle each serving with granola. Garnish with strawberries.

Bacon and Pancake Casserole

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup baking mix
1 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup maple flavored syrup
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
12 slices bacon; cooked, crumbled

Directions:

Grease and flour microwave-safe pie plate.

Beat together baking mix, 1/2 cup cheese, milk, syrup, sugar and eggs with a wire whisk until only small lumps remain; pour into pie plate.

Microwave uncovered on High for 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 minutes, making sure to rotate the pie plate a quarter turn every 2 minutes.

Sprinkle with remaining cheese and the bacon. Microwave, uncovered until cheese is melted.

Chocolate Pancakes

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Butter
3/4 cup Cocoa
2 cups Flour
1 1/2 cup Sugar
4 Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Buttercream Frosting


Directions:

Melt butter with cocoa. In small bowl mix flour and salt.

In large bowl, beat eggs, add sugar, vanilla and beat well.

Add flour mixture to this and blend well. Heat skillet to medium low, drop batter by tablespoons onto skillet and cook like pancakes, about 1 minute per side. Serve with frosting for spreading.

Oreo Cookie Pancakes

DRY:
8 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup baking powder

MILK MIX:
3 cups milk
3 cups water

BATTER:
1/4 pound butter
1/4 pound margarine
6 eggs, whipped
1 cup half and half
1 cup Oreo cookies, crumbled

Combine batter ingredients (except for cookies); set aside.

Combine dry mix ingredients; set aside.

Combine milk mix ingredients; set aside. Slowly add dry mixture to batter mixture; blend well. Add milk mixture to batter mixture; blend well.

Spread about 1/2 cup batter in center of hot oiled griddle. Grill on one side until bubbles appear on top of pancake. Flip pancake carefully. Cook until light golden brown. Remove from griddle and keep warm until served.

Top with pat of butter, if desired and sprinkle Oreo cookie crumbs on pancakes. Serve hot.

Note: For pancake faces, create face with whipped cream and strawberries, dots, candles, bacon and cheese. Be creative.

Makes 12 to 16 pancakes.

Pumpkin Orange Pancakes

A burst of pumpkin flavor in each bite, these moist and fluffy pancakes make a great back-to-school breakfast treat.

  • 2 cups all-purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • Maple syrup

How to do it:

COMBINE baking mix, milk, pumpkin, eggs and orange peel in large bowl; stir until blended.

GREASE griddle or large, nonstick skillet. Heat over medium-high heat. Pour about 1/4 cup pancake batter onto hot griddle for each pancake; cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve with syrup.

Yields 14 pancakes


Fruity Baby Pancakes

Ingredients
• 5 tablespoons-50g of Nestlé MultiGrain and Mixed Fruits Cereal with milk-Stage 4
• 150ml warm breast milk/ formula milk
• 1 cup plain flour-125g - sifted
• ¼ teaspoon baking powder
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon of warm water
• 1teaspoon cooking oil

Cooking Instructions
1. Place flour and baking powder in a large mixing bowl
2. Mix Nestlé cereal with warm milk to a smooth consistency. Stir in egg and a tablespoon of warm water
3. Pour mixture into the flour and stir smooth batter
4. Brush a little oil onto a non-stick frying pan and pre-heat pan on medium heat
5. Pour a tablespoon of pancake batter into warm pan and cook on each side for about 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown
6. Serve warm
