Deal Of The Day - Qdoba

Deal of the Day - Free Kids meal at Qdoba December 19th and 20th with the purchase of a regular entree'.

As more parents search for fresh, nutritious and affordable meal options for their children, Qdoba Mexican Grill® announced today that it will offer a new Kids Meal menu which provides kids nutritious meal options at all restaurants. In addition, as a holiday gift to parents, participating Qdoba restaurants (full list available here: http://www.qdoba.com/KidsEatFree.aspx) are offering a “Kids Eat Free” weekend Dec. 19 and 20 that includes one free Kids Meal for children age 12 or under with the purchase of a regular entrée. Qdoba Mexican Grill is the home of handcrafted, fresh and innovative fast-casual Mexican cuisine.

Kids can choose from a Lil’ Chicken Naked BurritoÒ (served in a bowl without a tortilla), Lil’ Chicken Quesadilla or a single taco, a Lil’ Cheese Quesadilla or vegetarian Naked BurritoÒ . Each meal includes a choice of one side item (applesauce, beans or handmade tortilla chips) and one beverage (100% juice, 1% milk or a small fountain drink). All of Qdoba’s Kids Meals are handmade in front of the guest and topped with personally selected fresh ingredients, including one of five distinctive salsas.

“We found that parents who come to our restaurants want fresh and nutritious choices for their children,” said Gary Beisler, president and CEO of Qdoba. “And, we found that children are engaged in making healthier meal decisions when they can be creative and make their own choices.”

Parents are looking for healthier alternatives according to an October 2009 study by Mintel International Group Ltd. Qdoba, listed as one of Parents magazine’s “Best Fast Casual Restaurants” in 2009, is helping kids get more involved in building healthy meals by offering them the ability to create their own meals. Because everything is made fresh, kids can customize their order to fit their own nutritional needs and taste preferences. Qdoba also offers a nutritional calculator on its Web site that allows kids to build, customize and calculate the nutritional value of every menu item. Below are a few examples of Qdoba’s Kids Meals combinations:

Lil’ Chicken Naked BurritoÒ with black beans, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo; applesauce and milk. (310 calories)

Chicken taco with lettuce, cheese and pico de gallo; side of black beans and juice. (390 calories)

Stop by Qdoba December 19th or 20th for your free kids meals.
