Today is our final Christmas E-Cookie exchange recipe for 2009. I enjoyed the variety of new recipes that you the 24/7 MOMS have shared with us and today am enjoying eating yummy cookies and treats with my family as we celebrate Christmas.
Caramel Chex Mix

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of cream of tartar
1/2 large box Rice Chex cereal
1 c. coconut
1 c. slivered almonds
Mix first 4 ingredients in 2 quart glass measure. Microwave for 2 minutes on high. Remove and stir. Microwave 2 more minutes on high. Remove and add baking soda and cream of tartar; stir . In a double brown paper bag put cereal, coconut, and almonds. Pour syrup over mix and shake well. Put in microwave and cook 2 minutes on high. Remove sack from microwave and shake well. Cook 2 more minutes on high. Shake bag. Place contents on cookie sheet to cool.
