WIN: Quick Pix Math Game

One area of math all of my kids have been eager at learning is about money. They realized at a young age it is what you need to buy things like toys, candy, pop and Mc Donald's. SO, they are eager to collect allowance and begin figuring out how much they have to spend on various items which means understanding the value of their money.

So , using games to teach them about money is a fun way to continue their eager learning money minds. Two games I recently was introduced to are Quick Pix and Presto-Change-O, great learning fun.

Quick Pix is a card game where players have 5 cards that are answer cards. They have 2 answers on each card. In the middle there is a stack of problem cards. When the middle card is flipped over players race to be the first to find their card that answers the problem and slap it on the top of the deck. If they are the first they get to keep their match and pick another answer card. Player with the most matches at the end of the game wins, or you can decide to collect only a certain number of matches to win. This game is great to help children be able to work through their facts quickly, I do not recommend it for children who are at different levels as one may get frustrated always getting beat.
