MOM Tip - Eco-friendly, Economical Cleaning Tips: 3 key areas, Showers, Floors, Toilets Tired of cleaning mildew in your shower? keep a spray bottle filled with distilled white vinegar in your shower and spray after each use. Vinegar kills mildew, germs and bacteria is very inexpensive. It also removes odors, and the odor of vinegar will dissipate quickly.
Here's another vinegar tip: if you live in an area with fire ants, keep white vinegar on hand. If you get stung, pour some vinegar on a rag or paper towel and hold it to the bites. It'll keep them from swelling up and itching as much. This even helped my husband, who has allergy troubles and tends to swell up really bad after a fire ant bite.
