When I was growing up about the only movies we ever saw were Zorro movies. But there was about an hour of cartoon before the movie so that made it worth it.

I can't believe I am the first one to post. I'm kind of worried I'm in the wrong place. But, I will say that, if age 13 counts as "childhood" then my favorite movie was (and still is) "Star Wars." It actually came out when I was 12, but I didn't get to see it until I was 13. My mom said it was too expensive to go to the movies. I ended up going with my uncle and cousins when I was on summer vacation in 1978. Maybe having to wait that long to see it is why I became obsessed with the movies and started collecting everything about them.

MY favorite childhood movie of all time for me is E.T.

I remember sobbing when they thought ET had died and the funny moments with Drew screaming and she was so funny! Of course scary moments too.

When it came out on vhs I bought the movie and my kids LOVED it and now have it on DVD so the girls can enjoy it....
