The light head can be detached and reattached from the attachment base to be used as a flashlight or backup lighting indoors if there were to be a power outage or storm or hurricane or just to illuminate inside the home at night in bedrooms and bathrooms. The super bright 10 mm triple LED light is not only bright but has extended run time of 40+ hours using two AA rechargeable batteries.
