Frugal Holiday Tips:
This week's frugal holiday money saving idea comes from Sheila Wray Gregoire.

I always make handmade gifts. Even my kids do! We knit scarves.

We collect little bits and pieces of yarn that’s leftover from other projects during the year and then combine it, three strands each, to make a really thick yarn. Roll it all together, and then knit on large needles. It knits up fast, but because of all the different bits of yarn it looks so interesting! You can just leave the knots showing. It adds to the combination.

They look lovely all knit up, and use up your yarn that looks ugly on its own. Combine it with something else and it can even be pretty! I can knit a scarf while watching a movie. It doesn’t take long!

We've come up with a really great product that helps all moms in three ways! Lunch Skins reusable dishwasher safe baggies, which are manufactured by 3 green moms and are available at www.3greenmoms.com help everyone by : saving money (great reason #1) because they are reusable and pay for themselves - 2 for $12 over a few months; they can be given as gifts (reason #2); and they are environmentally responsible and healthy products (reason #3). Check them out!
